A deconsecrated church, all-female mariachi band & a palette of scarlet & cerise.
Katie & Adams wedding celebration took place on a beautiful Spring day at one of Bristol’s most sort after wedding venues in Bristol, The Mount Without.
Katie and Adam were a joy to work with. Their love of bold colours and wild non-traditional flowers married so well with the Lucy Coco Floristry vibe…….I was excited from the off to be their wedding florist and create all their beautiful wedding flowers. Their vibe really echoed a ‘Fiesta Style Wedding in the City’
Their wedding photographer was the wonderful Coco Moon Photography.
Wedding Flower Colour Palette, Where Every Floral Stylist Begins…..
We worked with seasonal flowers, with a contemporary, editorial and colourful vibe. A bold palette of red and pink flowers with accents of zesty orange.
The Bride wore a super cool vintage red dress from the beautiful family owned store Ashwell and Co and the Bridesmaids pink and red leopard print dresses. The outfits were totally Lucy Coco Floristry’s vibe! Katie personalised her shoes with the fabulous LOVE clips from What’s Up Birdie and Tessa Metcalfe rings…every detail was so original.
The Bridal & Bridesmaid Bouquets
The bridal bouquet was designed with red roses, orange butterfly ranunculus, red anthuriums, pink scented roses, blush gerberas, fluffy pink ranunculus and lots of scented eucalyptus.
The Bridesmaids bouquets were all pink and red, created with roses, carnations and sea lavender, which matched just perfectly.
Adams suit from Brown In Town was styled with buttonholes, along with his crew . The buttonholes included textures from the bridal bouquet and were finished with pretty ribbons. His outfit was made complete by his super cool retro shades.
Wedding Ceremony Flowers , The Most Beautiful Flower Arch
The ceremony was held in the great hall at the Mount Without. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful and such an iconic venue. We purposefully planned to create a beautiful floral installation directly at the head of the aisle, on the elevated step.
The statement flower installation was a striking and beautiful seasonal flower arch. Wild and jazzy, filled with pink pampas grass, lipstick red anthuriums, big orange chrysanthemum blooms, editorial vibe, reflexed roses, and spider gerberas. The arch framed the head of the aisle impressively, it was such a showstopper as the guests arrived and was a fabulous backdrop for all the photos.
Then the wedding reception followed…
As it was positioned on the elevated steps it remained there for the reception, for all to enjoy as they had their wedding meal.
The styling and changeover were all done by the amazing Kirsten at The little Wedding Helper. Long trestle tables were filled with different size glass vases. Big blousy blooms and unconventional architectural stems lined the table, interspersed with gorgeous candles.
The great hall at the Mount Without looked spectacular.
Girl Power at its’s best….
The Mariachi Las Adelitas, all-female mariachi band provided an amazing show and surprise to the wedding guests after dinner. The band walked all the guests from the main hall at The mount Without to the crypt….it was like something out of a really cool film.
In the cosy atmospheric crypt the tables adorned with all the colourful glass vases of flowers filling the space with so much colour.
Now for the party in the crypt below the great hall with all the colourful tunes.
The party took place with Katie getting on the decks and noodles served for dinner!
‘Thank you so much Lucy, the flowers were absolutely magical and everyone was blown away by them.
You really are the best!’
