I’m Lucy Silverwell, or Lucy Coco in the flower world, and I blooming love flowers (pun intended).
I live in Caerleon, Newport South Wales with my wife Anna, our toddler Edith and our two cats. Lover of coffee, car boots, Frida Kahlo and vintage.
I’ve always had a passion for nature, and am so grateful to have a job that lets me spend so much time in the great outdoors.
In 2016, I completed the academy master floristry training programme with the prestigious British Academy of Floral Art gaining a level 2 with credit.
I know a lot about flowers
It began with a trip to India. The marigolds, the saris – wherever I went, a rainbow followed.
Then there was the exotic flora, so loved by my favourite artist, Frida Kahlo. I wanted, I realised, to work with growing things and to work with colour. What I wanted, I realised, was to become a florist.
In order to develop my floristry skills, I thought it was important to learn from the best and in 2014 I started working with many of the top Bristol florists and growers.
Now I’m a freelance florist. I specialise in creating naturally wild arrangements for weddings, funerals & events in Newport, Cardiff, South Wales and the surrounding area.
Sharing my passion for big blooms
Introducing people to the world of floristry
I share my time between my garden studio and with the wonderful flower farmers that I work with. I also share my passion for floristry with Lucy Coco Signature Workshops.
These seasonal events bring together lovely people, a few delicious snacks and a warm atmosphere where you’ll learn different floristry skills and create a seasonal arrangement.
Bespoke floristry events for hen parties, baby showers and company parties are also available, just get in touch and we’ll have a chat about your upcoming event.
